This was the performance art project. Another student, Sasha, and I did a project on human trafficking. We dressed in torn clothing and did our make up in order to look bruised and worn down. The goal was to see how people treated two girls who walked throughout campus with a haggard appearance.
This was the video deconstruction assignment. The idea of the video was to challenge beauty standards into today’s society. The girl in the video aggressively messes up her make up on purpose and defiantly stares into the camera at the end.
This project was the 30×30 diagram that required us to get 900 objects to create an image. I used 900 M&M’s in order to recreate the mountain that Jack Skellington walks on in the movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
This assignment required us to photocopy parts of our body in our to form a bigger picture. I decided to create a tree and to use my head as the apples. This was inspired by the idiom “she’s apples” which also means “everything will be alright”.
