DESCRIPTION: This animation had to include synced dialogue that we animated a character too. Since this assignment was completed towards the holiday season, I chose to animate a line from the movie Elf. The mouth shapes were the most difficult part to figure out, but overall I am happy with this piece.

TITLE: Gumball Headturn
YOUR ROLE: Animator
MEDIA: Frame-by-Frame Animation
SOFTWARE: Toon Boom Harmony
SPECIFICATIONS: 1920x1080px, 24fps, mute
DURATION: 0’01”
CLASS: FMX 238 2D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
SEMESTER / TERM: Fall 21
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
LINK: https://robinsanimations.blogspot.com/2021/10/headturn-assignment.html
DESCRIPTION: This animation consisted of any character that we wanted turning their head. I decided to choose Gumball Watterson from the show The Amazing World of Gumball. There was trouble with the fact that in this show the head turns are instant and not realistic, whereas, in animation that looks realistic, there is always an arc. I made Gumball point at something because there needed to be some kind of motivation when he turned his head.

TITLE: Flour Sack Belly Flop Contest
YOUR ROLE: Animator
MEDIA: Frame-by-Frame Animation
SOFTWARE: Toon Boom Harmony
SPECIFICATIONS: 1920x1080px, 24fps, mute
DURATION: 0’02”
CLASS: FMX 238 2D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
SEMESTER / TERM: Fall 21
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
LINK: https://robinsanimations.blogspot.com/2021/10/flour-sack-assignments.html
DESCRIPTION: This animation consisted of our own individual flour sack performing an action, which I decided to be a belly flop. The act of the belly flop is supposed to bring joy and be humorous, so I thought that the flour sack missing its target of the pool would add to the absurdity of the piece.

TITLE: Bouncing Ball
YOUR ROLE: Animator
MEDIA: Frame-by-Frame Animation
SOFTWARE: Toon Boom Harmony
SPECIFICATIONS: 1920x1080px, 24fps, mute
DURATION: 0’02”
CLASS: FMX 238 2D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
SEMESTER / TERM: Fall 21
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
LINK: https://robinsanimations.blogspot.com/2021/10/the-bouncing-ball-assignment-was-first.html
DESCRIPTION: This was the first project for 2D Animation I. We had to create a bouncing ball doing whatever we pleased. I decided to be ambitious with this project because it was the beginning of the semester and my other classes have not assigned too much work yet. I decided to have the ball interact with the lamp, laptop, and books and have them react to the ball because it made it more realistic. The splash of coffee at the end was a nice way to try animation of spills.
