Description: For this assignment we were to shoot images and explore different chroma key effects using multi layered tracks. I immediately knew that I wanted to explore different colors and patterns. There is definitely a structure to the film as I show repetition of certain clips. I wanted to create the feeling of a “time capsule”, where it feels like you are traveling.

Description: For this assignment we were to create a stop motion or time lapse set up in one locked down camera position. I’ve always been fascinated by time lapses and with that I decided to study cloud movements. The film shows a series of different shots that have been sped up, reversed and color corrected in post production. I found it interesting that the clouds looked almost like fire and through the manipulation of different sound effects I was able to create the feeling of fire.

Description: For this assignment we were to create a non-linear layered montage which were to imply dream type visuals. Using more than one video track, I was able to layer different clips by manipulating elements such as the opacity. I enjoyed this project this was the first time I put clips together without much direction as to where it was going. By using repetition of clips and playing with the speed, I was able to create what I think a dream sequence would feel like.

Description: For this experimental assignment I wanted to create a phobia type feeling of doors. I wanted every shot to be either closing in on a door, or moving away from a door. I also made the decision to make it film black and white because I thought the color would make it feel less uncomfortable.
