DESCRIPTION: This story follows Cece, a high school basketball player whose only wish is to make her father proud. This screenplay turned out to be less of a basketball story, but more of a story exploring a mother-and-daughter relationship. I think sometimes we search for flaws in our lives just to give ourselves excuses to why we aren’t or didn’t do something. Cece comes to the realization that her father isn’t at all what she expected him to be, and in fact, she doesn’t need him in order to achieve whatever it is she wants in life.

DESCRIPTION: This was my first attempt in trying to write a story that had sci-fi elements, something that is very much out of my comfort zone. It is based on a true event that happened to me about 10 years ago. Me and my grandma were visiting our summer house in Spain, and we woke up in the middle of the night to the house being half empty. In simpler terms, someone had broken into the house while we were sleeping. For this sci-fi story I wanted to elevate that same feeling of waking up feeling completely disoriented and confused.

DESCRIPTION: Following a couple in a foreign country that come to face with a child beggar. My main purpose of this story was to show the basic concept of not judging people based on appearance and/or assumption. The couple in this story is actually my grandparents, and everything that happens from meeting the little boy to the end is 100% true. My grandma tells me this story at least once every year, and every time is just as emotional. Whenever she tells me the story I could always visualize it happening in front of me. I just think it’s a story that should be shared outside of my family.
