My rotoscope animation project was probably one of my favorite pieces I have ever created. While this was definitely one of the most time consuming projects I have ever worked on, in the end it was very satisfying. This was done using footage of the warehouse dance scene from the original Footloose and recreated in After Effects.

For this project, I chose to use audio from Finding Nemo, as it is one of my favorite movies, and I thought this scene would be great for this type of project. We had to create a kinetic typography animation using After Effects.

This was another great project for understanding some of the key elements when animating. It helped for me to learn balance and to think about placement and character even more. I found this to be very difficult, as one little off thing can make the whole thing look funny.  We created our characters and then puppet animated them for this.

This project was extremely fun to do. I used one of my favorite TV characters, Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother and made him into a 2D animation using his dialogue and a snapshot from their bar. This project was focused on dialogue and matching the audio to the mouth movements. It was also done using puppet animation from Photoshop.
