During the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to intern for an amazing company called Diamond View Studios, an Emmy award-winning production studio based in Tampa, FL. I worked from mid May to the end of August primarily as a video editor for various company projects. Three days a week, I edited video content for local and major organizations, such as the Atlanta Braves & USF Bulls. I also acted as a Production Assistant on set of early morning video shoots, where I was in charge of props, lighting and food orders. I also organized studio equipment, painted the cyclorama wall and obtained supplies for the office. Their motto is to “Dream Big” and during my internship they enlisted the help of a well-known Tampa duo, The Vitale Brothers, to paint an incredible mural on the side of the building.

DESCRIPTION: As a production intern at Diamond View, I was tasked with editing many different video projects that required me to compile footage and search for effective stock music. For this particular project, I was asked to complete a Sports Reel with a mix of their athletic material from the year. With clients like the Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Lightning and the USF Bulls, I was able to execute a fast-paced, high-energy video with quick cuts and creative transitions of which I learned how to execute. Overall, it was a great summer full of valuable experience and creative challenges. Any aspiring filmmaker in Tampa would be very lucky to intern with such an awesome company!
