TITLE: Word Portrait
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
HARDWARE: Windows 64bit
SPECIFICATIONS: 620 x 640px
CLASS: FMX 210 Foundations: Digital Media
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 18
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: This assignment was to manipulate text in Illustrator into a self-portrait. We had to write a short statement about ourselves and use those words. I remember this project taking a long time to complete since each letter had to be manipulated manually, as well as getting the colors correct. I think I could have done a better job with the hair especially.

DESCRIPTION: This assignment was to create a self-portrait in Illustrator. Although it somewhat looks like I just took the original picture and put a filter over it, I actually painted over it manually using shades of purple to differentiate it from the original photograph. Since it was all done by hand, this also took a fairly long time to complete, especially the hair.
TITLE: Xerox Project
MEDIA: Paper
SOFTWARE: None
HARDWARE: Scanner
CLASS: FMX 211 Art & Technology
Professor: Blanka Roundtree
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 19
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: I attempted to create a piece of art primarily using curly hair texture and hand prints. The hand prints gradually change from hovering over the scanner to fully pressing against it, creating a gradation. The curly hair was intended to look like waves or flowers that the hand is gradually reaching towards. I used my own hand and a wig I had.

I regret not having more work to show from this class, but I remember it being a difficult class to feel motivated in due to the way the class was taught by the professor- although I do not think this professor teaches this class anymore, so I think that problem is now resolved.
