DESCRIPTION: This article was written for my satirical blog created for WWR220 – Writing for Online Audiences. The purpose of the blog was to write and publish online posts for a niche audience. This was the first article I published on my blog. I chose this idea because of the stereotype that squirrels at every university are different and unique. In reality, each campus squirrel is just a normal squirrel, but I wanted to play on that idea and create “Skippy” the squirrel.

The article was written once I found out how much the school allegedly spends on each palm tree we had on campus. This has been a hot topic for student discussion as we lack a lot of other things normally found on a college campus, such as parking and a dining hall that serves food past 6 p.m.

I wrote this article after the University placed “Anti-Smoking” propaganda on nearly every blank wall and street corner on campus. Most of the content posted by the university was inaccurate and biased facts about marijuana use.
