Rose Caltrider is an American filmmaker with a concentration in cinematography and writing. She has been shooting photos since she was thirteen years old which paved the way for her love of motion pictures. Having always been drawn to the beauty of people, nature, and natural/realistic lighting in photography, Rose implements this style in her films frequently. She will receive her BFA from The University of Tampa in spring of 2022. During her sophomore year of college, her first narrative film, Gulf Port, received the award for best narrative in the Black Box film festival. Though her passion is to be behind the camera, she enjoys being on film sets in any capacity. Because of this, she has worked as a production assistant on several professional feature films shot in the Tampa Bay area while attending school. Rose hopes to gather a few years of experience in the field before seeking a masters degree in cinematography.
