TAROT

START AT 0:47

This technical exercise is the first I’ve ever created in which I construct absolutely no narrative. I gave myself the challenge of going against my instinct of forcing a storyline into my work. I chose a subject that was visually interesting, that being the tarot cards, and did my best to accentuate every beautiful part of it with as many angles as I could find. This piece is also a little way for me to show off my years of practice in continuity.

Women Empowerment

START AT 2:04

When asked to put a film together strictly using found footage, I decided early on that it would be one that delivered a message. I have trouble creating pieces that are empty of a narrative, so even though this was an experimental film, I made sure that I would make meaning out of it. In a sense, this film was very relieving in terms of not having to worry about the shooting process. However, this also meant that I was taking a break from my absolute favorite part of the process, so this is not something I would really voluntarily do again.
