Tamsen C Simpson is a Bajan-American writer, director, and artist born and based in Central Florida. Her works explore themes of relationships and self discovery through dark comedy narratives. Tamsen’s love for filmmaking grew when she enrolled at the University of Tampa, pursuing a BFA in film and media arts. She is expected to graduate in 2021. Her film 17 Hours (2019) was a Campus Movie Fest finalist and FilmSlam Official Selection in Orlando, FL, where she was invited to speak on a panel of female filmmakers. Additionally, Tamsen just wrapped on Lady of the Manor (2020), interning under the direction of Justin Long in the art department. This experience drove her dreams of becoming a production designer in search of creating worlds that immerse audiences into brand new spaces.
