From February to March, I interned on an independent feature film shot in Tampa Bay and St Petersburg titled Lady of the Manor, directed by Justin Long. I interned in the art department under Shawn Carroll. This experience was amazing, especially considering that I want to go into production design. I helped create and put scenes together, doing alot of shopping for props and setting. Working closely with the art director and production designer, I was able to see the creation of a scene from an idea through restoration. The film was shot in a historic house between two periods of time and creating the difference between the flashbacks and modern scenes was a fun challenge. An interview of the work I did and deeper look into the behind the scenes and can be read here.
In summer 2019, I interned as a social media intern at Next Level Marketing in Melbourne, FL. As an intern, I created mockups and brochures for brands such as Best Western, Days Inn, and various local businesses. I also monitored many businesses’ Instagram and Facebook comments, posts, and boosted their ad revenue with monthly content plans and reports. This internship allowed me to go out of my comfort zone and gain more skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design since this marketing agency preferred that client content be created on these programs.
