3D computer mouse created and rigged using Maya.

This hyper-vigilant mouse is not the only one of its kind.

My role: Creator, rigger, animator.

TITLE: Scared Mouse
MEDIA: 3D Animation
SOFTWARE: Autodesk Maya
HARDWARE: HP Spectre x360
SPECIFICATIONS: 1920X1080p, 24fps, 0’03”, mute
CLASS: FMX 217 3D Animation I
PROFESSOR: Dana Corrigan
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 19
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Most of our other projects in this class used existing material in Maya that we then manipulated. This animation was all done from scratch. The computer mouse was made all with primitives. Reference images were also used for the top of the mouse and the side of it. Squash and stretch was also involved to give the mouse the visual expression of being scared with no face. This class also had a solid framework. Though challenging, I had never touched 3D until taking this course so it was intriguing to see a general idea of how any sort of 3D project is made.

Simple bouncing ball (sphere) animation using primitives in Maya.

Applying physics (gravity) to a sphere.

My role: Creator, animator.

DESCRIPTION: This first project in 3D Animation was to practice combining primitives and motion; the primitives being the barriers the ball collides with. To make it look more realistic, obviously the height of ball has to decrease due to gravity, but the difference in time for the rise and fall of the ball were also manipulated.
