Description: The purpose of this project was to copy a scene from a movie of our choice. There was some criteria for the scene which included a maximum of two characters and a single location. The copying didn’t just involve acting of two random people, but we had to cast actors that had somewhat of a resemblance to the actors in the movie. The setting also had to match including the lighting. I chose the movie Whiplash because fortunately one of my classmates had a resemblance to J.K. Simmons and the other to Miles Teller. Furthermore, my Recording & Electronic II classroom/studio was an ideal location for the scene because it was small, dark, and only a select few had access to it. Additionally, with the fact that it’s a recording studio,  it contributed to the recording of the audio. It was filmed with a Canon t3i and post production was completed in Adobe Premiere Pro and Logic Pro X. Sound, Image, and Motion was a great class as it provided knowledge on equipment, put my editing techniques to the test, and let my imagination flow. The framework of the course was also very stable. I also appreciate how professor Perkins shows examples of these techniques in movies.
