DESCRIPTION: An interview with former Christian Lee Testerman, who has recently deconstructed Christianity. They cover how the deconstruction made them feel and how their life has changed since choosing to stray away from their Christian beliefs. They also talk about how other people reacted to their deconstruction and the conflicts that arose from their decision. This film shows how controversial a religious topic can be and the side of someone who was devoted to Christianity and felt it was no longer suited for them. I chose to make this film because the concept of different types of religion has always sparked my curiosity. I have never before met someone who has deconstructed Christianity. This documentary was made at times when finding people willing to come out and help was lacking due to the pandemic. Thankfully, I could grab a friend and a camera and find an exciting topic to interview them about. Once I had heard about their story of Christianity, I knew that the subject was something I would be able to explore with great interest.

DESCRIPTION: An interview with avid Magic The Gathering player Brennan Augér as he talks about how he got into Magic The Gathering and why it is important to him. He goes over how he wanted to get involved with some of the fantasy elements he enjoyed while finding a community of people to socialize with. He also gives some insight into the game’s lore and tells the audience how they could learn to play Magic The Gathering for themselves. I was interested in doing this interview because I wanted to learn more about the card game and thought, what better way than to ask someone I knew about how it worked? The class I did this for was online during the semester, so finding people to help me with filming was almost entirely out of the question. Finding equipment was also challenging, so I used my home resources. I started up FiLMiC Pro and learned how nice it could be to have all those resources in my pocket. I called up Brennan, a friend from high school, and the conversation flowed naturally. I feel I got some excellent information to share with a community that may be interested in pursuing the card game themselves.
