DESCRIPTION: Silence is not a weakness. People are strong even if they are unable to speak. This poster is something that I made for an assignment that involved sharing a message that was important to me. I had to take a picture of myself and use only five different colors, along with black and white. I needed to make a poster that resonated with a message of significant meaning. I chose to put duct tape over my mouth to show that I could not speak, and with a sad look, I snapped a picture of distress in my eyes. To further convey that feeling of pain and vulnerability, I used a blue color scheme for a soft and sad feeling in the image. I then chose a powerful statement that reflected something vital to me. “Silence Is Not Weakness.” This message tells people that even though they may feel they cannot speak, they are not weak, and everything they are going through is valid. Mental illness and abuse are real issues, and no one should be ashamed of what they are going through.
TITLE: Eagle Visuals Business Card
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
HARDWARE: iMac Os X
SPECIFICATIONS: 1050 x 1200 px,300PPI, RGB
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
TERM: FA 2020

DESCRIPTION: I created the business cards to see how I could get my name out into the world and reach clients. I decided to go for a black card with white and teal writing to create a more sleek-looking design. I wanted the word Filmmaker to be up and front on my card to ensure everyone knew my business purpose. As for the design, I decided to go with a simplistic bird holding a camera. I thought this design represented me well as a person because I feel as though birds have always connected to me in my life. Using a bird in cohesiveness with the camera shows how I can fly high and take stunning visuals from anywhere. The eagle visuals name was a play-off of having an eagle’s eye, portraying my eye as having sharp and clear cinematic quality. I feel like I can use this card and repurpose it with some of my pictures to create a business card that I can use for all of my future professional needs.
TITLE: Calligram Word Selfie
MEDIA: Digital Illustration
SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator
HARDWARE: iMac Os X
SPECIFICATIONS: 507 x 619 px, 300PPI, RGB
CLASS: FMX 210 Digital Media
PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry
TERM: FA 2020
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For this assignment, I had to make a calligram from a selfie I had previously taken. The calligram had to create a visual image related to the meaning of the words used inside it. Since the task was to make a self-portrait, the importance of the words used revolved around words that described me and how I felt about myself. When selecting the selfie, I ensured it was well-lit to guarantee I had enough definition to put the words on top. I then thought about what words described me the best. I went literal with words like vegetarian, punk, and hipster, but I also made sure to put some uplifting words like strong and successful. Of course, everyone has negative words that pop up when they think of themselves from time to time, so I also included pointless and disaster. The hardest part about this assignment was finding the correct length for the words needed to fill a particular space of my face, especially my eyes and nose. I feel that the words I encompassed genuinely show who I am as a person overall.
