DESCRIPTION: “Pokemon Trainer Turn Table” is a turntable animation of the character I did in my animation 2 class. I chose to do a Pokemon trainer because I wanted to challenge myself making a female character and I figured a Pokemon trainer was easy enough, that also explains the Pokemon ball. I made sure to change the way the hair, face, purse, etc. from what the real female Pokemon trainer looks like, I also made sure to make it look kind of athletic. I’m very happy with the results.

DESCRIPTION: “Environment” is my game environment for my character. My character is a space trooper, so I wanted my environment to look robotic or like it’s in space. You could see it’s metallic and shiny. While putting the textures in substance painter, I made sure to put many designs into the walls, the materials are shiny, I added blue and grey materials because I feel that it was more space like when it comes to interior environments. I feel as though how I designed the crates fit very well with my environment. I’m very happy with how it turned out.

DESCRIPTION: These are rendered images of my Space Trooper game character. I chose a gun for my character’s accessory because troopers usually have a gun as their accessory. I feel like I made the gun match my game character well. In substance painter, I made it look kind of rusty as you can see those bronze parts, to make it look more realistic. When I rendered it in Maya, I chose to do cool poses because I find just standing in a T pose kind of bland. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

DESCRIPTION: “Link Action Scene” is an animation of my character Link’s action scene. It rotates 45 degrees and back to 0 degrees as he’s doing his action. I like how he does a trick with his sword and then kneels down at the end.

DESCRIPTION: “Sword Rotation” is a 360 rotational animation of Link’s from the Legend of Zelda series sword. This project was our object assignment and I chose Link’s sword because I wanted to do a sword with the fact that we practiced doing a sword exercise in class. For the background, I’m not exactly sure what background I used but it seems to fit well with my object. For the lighting of the sword, I wanted the bottom tip of my object to be slightly shadowed while lots of it was in the bright light. You could see a shadow of the lower half of the sword on the platform, but you can’t see the upper half shadow. In about two and half seconds into the animation, you could see the middle of the sword shining and that’s my favorite part of the animation.
