DESCRIPTION: This video “Individual XC” is a video art project symbolizing that hard work pays off. As I’m putting my socks on in the video, short second long scenes of me running in the front view keep cutting the scene of me pulling my socks on, I edited the those scenes like that so it can be confusing and easy to throw viewers off, like some of the examples the professor showed us. Close to the end of the scene of me tying my shoes, you’ll see a downward scene of me running blending in with the tying my shoes scene. Next, there will be a scene of a view of a XC course in Lakeland, when it’s coming to the end, you’ll see a scene of me running but only showing a side view of my upper body blending in with the Lakeland scene. The following scene is a scene of my running arms, to look confusing and overwhelming. Another important scene I added was a collage scene of four scenes I have already used playing at once because that was a strategy I can use for this project. Next, you’ll see a closeup shot of me drinking water, finally you’ll see a scene of the conference trophy I won when I got all conference runner of the year.

For the music, I used experiential music that matched the situation of my video well up until the scene of the conference trophy when I used a cash register sound effect to indicate that you earn something for your hard work.

DESCRIPTION: This is a flipbook of two people on an old-fashioned cup or can phone, they disappear from each other from the length of the phone cord, one comes out from a newer version of a phone, and the other comes to view with an iphone. The flipbook represents how technology has evolved throughout the years and how it’s changed the world, I think this video is a great example of the situation.

TITLE: Mugshot Selfie

MEDIA: Art and Technology

HARDWARE: IPhone 6s

SOFTWARE: N/A

SPECIFICATIONS: 480 × 640px

DESCRIPTION: The Mugshot selfie is not really a mugshot as you could see, but this assignment was called a mugshot. We were required to take a picture of ourselves having lots of information behind it, like it had to represent how technology has changed the world in a selfie. I chose to do something similar to “Hoshide, Untitled, selfie” (pg. 6 Hirzoff’s “How to See the World”) because I like taking selfies myself and I found that Hoshide’s Untitled Selfie to be fascinating. In that selfie I took, I pretended I was on the moon by wearing glasses and editing the picture black and white.
