SEMESTER/TERM: Summer Term 20
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: The “After Effects Final” is my final for that class. We were required to have three scenes. The first one was a digital matte painting kind, the second one was, the last one was a creative particles kind. For my first scene which is a digital matte painting, I took I picture of the University of Tampa stadium from the top floor of the parking garage, but what made that scene extremely hard was that there was so much stuff going on in that image, like trees everywhere, city buildings, etc. So, I’m not too happy with how the first scene turned out. The second scene, I chose to do a putting it all together scene of me running and fire and smoke right behind me to make it look like I’m running fast, I’m pretty happy with how that scene turned out. The third and final scene is an upshot video of me with my medal I received in the NCAA championships, at about the last few seconds, I put a texting saying “All American” on top, another text saying “zoe Jarvis” on the bottom, I also put sparks behind the texts to make it look kind of like fireworks.
TITLE: Tree Stump
ROLE: Animator/Editor
MEDIA: Visual Effects/Cinema 4d
HARDWARE: MacBook Pro
SOFTWARE: Adobe After Effects
SPECIFICATIONS: 1920 × 1080px, mute
DURATION: 0’05”
CLASS: FMX 322 Visual Effects
PROFESSOR: Marcio Goncalves
SEMESTER/TERM: Summer Term 20
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: The “Tree Stump” is another creative file I did after one of his lectures of an exercise in Cinema 4d. We had to put an object in that picture of the tree stump he provided for us and I chose a knife object for hunting because I feel like the nature inside that picture of the tree stump can relate to hunting. I’m happy with the results but I’m not too happy about the shadow floating in the air when the camera goes a certain angle. Again, I’m still very happy with the results.

DESCRIPTION: The “Inkling Splatter Creative File” is a creative project we had to do after one of the exercises. The Inkling character doesn’t move but, when the camera turns to the wall, paint balls come to splatter the end of the wall. The white paint ball splats “FMX 322 Visual Effects.” I like how the paint balls catch the eye as it’s heading to the wall.
