DESCRIPTION: Here I am experimenting with the Bifrost effects options in Maya and testing out a new HDR image that I found for the background. Bifrost is used to simulate particles and other real-world phenomenon like fire and smoke plumes in Maya. I used a procedural cloud to blend the unrefined parts of the background seamlessly and a scaled candle flame for the rocket exhaust, this was my first attempt using these tools so a more refined version may come in the future.

DESCRIPTION: This 3D artwork is designed to remain static, it is a commissioned piece for a client in Trinidad and Tobago. The client is a musician and requested that I create a slot machine with the digits 777 ( lucky numbers) to fit with the visual aesthetic he is trying to carry out with his latest album coming in late 2021.

DESCRIPTION: This is a tribute 3D visualizer that I created in honor of recently deceased dancehall artiste, Kyle ” Rebel 6 ” George when his posthumous album, Last Son of the Pharaoh , was released in early 2021.

DESCRIPTION: This is my attempt at recreating a Rolex using realistic textures to mimic its appearance in reality. All the texturing was done in the Hypershade in Maya and the reference was created from scratch using photos of a real Rolex. The model itself is not a single mesh but multiple meshes intersecting each other to create the illusion of a complete piece.

DESCRIPTION: Here I recreated the David SW storefront building complete with the carpark and some surrounding flora. The carpark and building were created by going on-site and taking many photos, videos, and using the blueprints for the building to create an accurate enough reference for the animation. I made everything in the scene except for the car models which were sourced online from a 3d model marketplace. I also changed/replaced some of the textures for the car models as the ones it came with did not look as realistic as I hoped. The short animation is designed to be able to quickly showcase the storefront on social media to familiarize customers with the new location’s appearance.

DESCRIPTION: This is my first animation test inside of Unreal Engine 5. I used advanced skeleton plugin for Maya to rig and animate the cars, then exported them into Unreal for texturing and final render. The environment is made up of free assets from the unreal marketplace. The idea was to create a promotional video for Ferrari that could have aired at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
