The models were designed with the intent to be able to be 3d printed in the future. Utilizing edge loops and surface smoothing in Maya, the smaller surface details were able to be reproduced well in the test prints. It is my recreation of Thunderbird 1 from the movie Thunderbirds Are Go (2004), I tried to model this in my freshman year and was wildly unsuccessful, so getting to revisit the idea and see how I’ve improved in my modeling skills was very rewarding.
