In the fall of 2018, I was placed in a documentary production class with Warren Cockerham.

Abusive Relationships

TITLE: Unhealthy Relationships
MEDIA: Film
SOFTWARE: Adobe Premiere
CLASS: FMX 313-E
PROFESSOR: Warren Cockerham
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 18
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa

In my first project for Documentary production was that everybody had to submit clips that are symbolic to whatever cause we were wanting to do our project on. Mine was on mentally abusive relationships. I misunderstood the project at first, and I finished a video before class with my own work, which is why I have two.

The actual project was that we had to use everybody’s clips in the class and combine them to make a video that represents what we are trying to bring awareness to. For example, somebody might have clips of water because they want to talk about water pollution, and we had to use those clips to fit our needs.

Social Media

TITLE: How Does Social Media Effect You?
MEDIA: Film
SOFTWARE: Adobe Premiere
CLASS: FMX 313-E
PROFESSOR: Warren Cockerham
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 18
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa

For our second project, students were grouped together and sent to the streets of downtown Tampa. We were told to interview people, asking them about whatever topic we chose. Our group chose social media addictions, and they chose me to be the spokesperson for the group. I helped with the editing process, as well.

The Past Present.

TITLE: The Past Present
MEDIA: Film
SOFTWARE: Adobe Premiere
CLASS: FMX 313-E
PROFESSOR: Warren Cockerham
SEMESTER / TERM: FA 18

For the final project in this class, we chose our own final projects. I decided to show family dynamics, portraying how past generations and the methods of rearing affect later generations. I used my own family, as well as my friend, Ada Villanueva’s. I chose to make my film seem more authentic, amusing, and random – like a family.
