DESCRIPTION: Non-Linear was an Experimental film about the stages of grief and how they don’t happen in order. I played with structuralist techniques and colored lights to portray the emotions.

DESCRIPTION: This project was pulling Prelinger footage and building a piece upon it. After finding a lot of clips objectifying women, I thought I’d make almost a PSA style video discussing the disgraceful verbiage used to describe women.

DESCRIPTION: The goal of this project was to use key out our footage and use masking techniques to create a piece. I filmed this when I lived on campus and thought to do a “Day In The Life” video and film whenever I was walking around campus and using that footage to create this piece.

DESCRIPTION: Structuralist films try to emphasize a point or action throughout a scene or entire movie. I took a scene from my favorite movie of all time and analyzed BOTH character’s reactions to more subtle lines. I felt Mary is overshadowed in the normal scene and wanted to catch her reactions and lines just as much as George.

DESCRIPTION: This project was to analyze break ups and the emotions ones go through during that time. Perkins wanted us to use After Effects to work on masking which is why there are some graphics masked out.
