TITLE: Knives Out: Jersey Devil’s End
YOUR ROLE: Director, and Editor
TYPE: Creative Triangle Modifier Project
CAMERA: Blackmagic 4k
SOFTWARE: Adobe Premiere
SPECIFICATIONS: 1920x1080p, H.264
DURATION: 4’01” (0:00-0:45)
CLASS: FMX 331- Creative Triangle
PROFESSOR: Nora Long
SEMESTER / TERM: 2022 Fall Semester
INSTITUTION: The University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: Professor Long allowed us to pick from randomized scenes and modifiers. We got this scene from Knives Out mixed with “A Local Cryptid” and “Pool”. To avoid underwater shooting, we decided to play the game pool and our cryptid of choice was… The Jersey Devil. As Director I wanted this as camp as possible, so I added the touches of the hands, “handing” them things along with Harlan still having glasses.
DESCRIPTION: Ordinary Dinner is about a family of clowns having dinner when their Kid comes out as a mime. This was an ambitious project that faced a lot of issues in Pre-Production. I ended up shortening the script and keeping one location. This project taught me the Work Flo a Director needs AND how to problem solve on the fly.
